Neue Schule Bits

Neue Schule Collection offers a range of mouthpieces in a variety
of thicknesses and is suitable for every discipline at all levels.
The bits are made from a unique special metal which heats up
within seconds of being placed into the horse's mouth and maintains
blood temperature. This warmer, sweeter metal accelerates the acceptance
of the bit and the horse is therefore able to quickly start to focus on the action
of the bit.

The smoothly contoured mouthpieces create a channel for the tongue
to lie in causing the horse to soften and relax through the jaw.  This then
greatly emphasises the signals through the rein.  It allows one to lighten
the forehand, lifting the shoulder thus promoting self carriage and the
'throughness' needed for sustained advanced movements. It also
enhances the bend for lateral work and voltes, etc.

The Range of Neue Schule Mouthpieces

Tranz
Ergonomically designed for both comfort and communication. It encourages
a true contact and higher level of responsiveness. The patented lozenge is
set on at a unique 20 degrees angle activating more feel over the tongue, so
when a contact is taken, the rounded lozenge rolls down contouring smoothly
over the tongue's thicker less sensitive centre (the sweet spot), utilizing feel
enabling clearly defined aids to be given through the reins.  The lozenge
takes up less room in the mouth and does not interfere with the palate.

Demi-Anky
Although single jointed the Demi-Anky is curved and shaped very cleverly.
It curves slightly away from the lip so as not to squash it in, and it is curved
subtly down towards the bar thus giving an even weight bearing surface
across the bars, it also bends down toward the central joint so that when
a contact is taken it forms a long low shape over the tongue offering tongue
relief.  This design has been found to be vey beneficial for horses that back
off or only offer an intermittent contact.

Starter
Promotes mouthing and acceptance.  Good for lungeing, long-reining and
schooling.  A gentle bit ith tongue relief that encourages the horse to stretch
the topline seeking forward and down into a soft consistent contact.

Team Up
Ergonomically curved to encompass the tongue and align itself underneath
the upper palate, giving very gentle weight distribution. Alleviates mouth
over activity and tongue evasions. It encourages the horse to soften through
the jaw, relaxing and lengthening the neck. Beneficial for the short tense neck
without causing the horse to lean. Reinforces the turning aid.

Verbindend
Greatly emphasises the signals through the rein. It allows one to lighten the
forehand, lifting the shoulder thus promoting self carriage and the 'throughness'
needed for sustained advanced movements.  The verbindend eradicates
tongue evasions by creating a channel for the tongue to lie in, causing the horse
to soften and relax through the jaw.  Also enhances the bend for lateral work
and voltes, etc.

Slimma
A very unobtrusive design that sits well back in the mouth over the thicker, less
sensitive part of the tongue.  The Slimma is anatomically designed to take up very
little room in the mouth bridging the tongue and contouring snugly under the upper
palate leaving much more space for the bridoon - hence a fatter bridoon is an option
that may benefit a horse that is tentative into the contact.

Dressage Warmblood
The forward cut port is very cleverly designed giving generous tongue relief without
causing upper palate interference. It is extremely popular with the large tongued KWPN,
Hanovarians, etc.  This design has often proven the panacea to many long term tongue
evasions.

Waterford
Designed to give you control whilst eradicating the fighting and pulling that often causes
damage and subsequently a hard mouth.  The new design incorporates slimmer, smoother,
more clearly defined links.  The outermost links in the chain provide an ergonomic shelf
for the lips to rest on eradicating the previously commonly experienced problem of rubs.
