HF Equestrian is a family concern developed from our love of horses and the need to be able to work from home. 

The rug side of the business really came about by accident as our local rug repairer gave up and it was difficult to find someone to repair them and get them back within a reasonable time.  Little did we know it would turn into a full time business.  The washing side quickly came about as repairing dirty rugs all the time is no fun as you can imagine. 

We offer rug repairs ,washing and reproofing throughout Cornwall and often keep a selection of quality secondhand rugs for sale. We can also treat your rugs with SkitoStop to help with protection against insects and sweetitch.

The Bit Bank is something I have always be keen on doing as I find the subject really fascinating and decided to set it up to run along side the rugs.  We believe in a holistic approach to working with the horse and that any bitting issues must only be considered alongside all other issues such as saddle fitting, dentistry, the rider, conformation.
 
Our Bit Bank Service operates via the internet as well as locally. We are happy to post to most countries throughout the world.  We have many bits and are approved Neue Schule, Myler and Abbey, Eldonian (Jeffries) stockists.  We keep used bits as well as new, which is a help to all on a budget as we realise bits can be very expensive. We offer a 21 day trial of bits which also helps to cut down the expenses of the journey through finding the correct bit for your horse.  We will also part exchange bits or buy them or even sell them on a commission basis if preferred so there are many options.

We also offer a bitting clinic facility where you can try out several bits on your horse if you are not sure which way to go with experienced help on hand. We are happy to come out with a selection of bits. If you wish to do this please contact us or keep a watch on this site for dates of clinics.
